I will be participating in a Holiday Open House in Downtown Springfield at The Oasis Salon & Spa, Springfield Ohio on November 10, 2013, from 1pm-4pm. I will have a 3 tier wedding cake for your viewing pleasure and mini cupcakes in various flavors for you to savor! This will be a reeeeal cake. I will be giving away each tier on Monday the 11th. I am asking for you to visit my website Home Page and help me choose which cake to duplicate! View the "Wedding Slideshow" and choose the number of the cake that you would like me to duplicate and either message me on Facebook, post it on my Blog page or comment on this post. The numbers are located at the bottom of each picture. There are only 16 cakes marked. Some, like the tiger lily cakes, require time for the tiger lilies to dry and can't be made within the time left before the Open House. Sorry! I will have a drawing from the patrons who visit the Open House and fill out a ticket for their chance to win a cake layer. 3 names will be chosen. Forgot I am taking cookies to a Springfield Weddings and Events Professionals meeting tomorrow evening so today is "Cookie" day, not"Bread" day. Trying to decide between Mincemeat, Pineapple, Oatmeal Peanut Butter, Snickerdoodles, Chocolate Chip & Sugar Cookie Cut outs! Making different kinds of breads... tomorrow is pumpkin and possibly fruitcake-type! Preparing for Thanksgiving and Christmas ... Any ideas? Give me a jingle!
Finished product!! Yellow filled, pink outlined crescent moon cookies!
Second attempt using shiny cookie icing! We'll see how they look after filling in with the yellow!!!!
So here are my first attempt at using that poured cookie icing that dries shiny! Today I make another batch of icing, color it and outline and then fill in! We'll see how it goes! Have a blessed day, all! :D
I am constantly amazed at how the Lord Jesus works!! I had JUST finished my first attempt at making the poured cookie icing and covering my wedding-themed cut out sugar cookies when, within a very few minutes, I got a phone call from an area University for an order of 100 cookies covered in this type of icing! Praise the Lord, I had already succeeded in mastering the recipe and the cookies looked cute!! Thank you, Jesus!! Pictures tomorrow morning!!
